kinda, I don't want to...
2003-03-11 05:00 pmWhat the hell am i updating for?
Oh yeah... again, due to popular demand...
I really can't think of anything interesting to write.
I had money problems... but have fiddled everything so that they serve me!
BOW BEFORE YOUR MASTER! :P
Basically... i got a cheque from my mum, that was supposed to pay my accomodation, but i told accomodation to give me two months, while proving that the rest of my loan will come through then. So i now have my mums cheque to live off... bwahaha!
I photocopied my hand yesterday... i should stick it up somewhere, lol.
I wonder if everyone after me had fingerprints on their photocopies? :P
Made some new friends who are here for the semester from America.
They are cool and I really like them.
I've never yet met a steretypical american, but Joey and Carrie, ma two mates, have some friends over this week, who i have yet to meet, and apparently, they are very 'american', as in, dumb, lol.
Dunno what else to say...
...my future is looking alright...
...the present is alright...
...the past is but a memory...
oh oh oh...
...memories.
That's right. I have been getting closer to knowing what it is about my memory that is wrong, and i think it's the voluntary recall ability that i lack... i.e. i can't recall something just because i want to. My memory is mostly activited by triggers, like smells or faces or whatever. I now just need to learn how to use the triggers to my advantage, and find out which triggers i can use when i want to recall something.
To give you a clearer example, I may know a song really well...
...when the song is played in, say, winamp, i'll be able to name the song because the music is triggering my memory. I can usually name a familiar song in the first few bars.
The difficulty comes if you ask me to hum the first few bars of the song that i am familiar with. I just can't remember how it goes, because there is no trigger.
The difficulty comes in trying to explain why i can sometimes remember tunes that i haven't heard that day... maybe my memory also has some sort of 'random' function, where it just throws stuff at me. lol.
All very boring for you i'm sure.
Take care :)
