Curlew C Development
Shell U.K. Limited (Shell) has applied to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry for consent to develop the Curlew C oil and gas field, located in Block 29/7 of the Central North Sea (co-ordinates 56( 44' 10.37" N; 01( 23' 21.65" E), approximately 215km east-south-east of Aberdeen and 67km west of the UK-Norway median line.
The development of the Curlew C field will be via a single well. A new 5.8km, 8" production pipeline with a 3" piggyback gas lift pipeline and a control umbilical will tie the new well into the Curlew FPSO. Oil will be exported by tanker while gas will be exported by the existing Curlew pipeline into the Fulmar pipeline.
The project scope consists of the drilling of one production well; installation of production tree and protection structure; installation and commissioning of new pipelines and umbilical and modifications to the Curlew FPSO.
In accordance with the above mentioned Regulations this application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement and an Application for Consent (PON 16). Copies of these documents may be obtained or inspected between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on business days until close of business on 10th January 2006 by contacting the Curlew C Development Project Manager at:
